game_concept_neow_the_event: "The Event"
game_concept_neow_the_event_desc: "Occurring sometime around the turn of the millennium, the mysterious Event heralded the sudden end of the Old World. Nobody knows what really happened, for it was so terrible that millions upon millions of lives were lost to conflict and disease, along with most of mankind's achievements. Many theories appeared over the centuries, attributing the destruction to great plagues, fires in the sky, and the wrath of gods. Those that did live to tell the tale likely refused to for their own sanity's sake."

game_concept_neow_the_novel_desc: "All Novelists believe that the Novel holds within it all the truths of the universe, written by the elusive Author before the beginning of time, and scattered across the timelines by the Valar. Novelists generally agree that the Novel is composed of the Author himself turned into ink, though how it manifests into our world and the gods' effects on it is a hotly contested topic ever since the religion's founding."

game_concept_neow_the_belle_epoque_desc: "Europeanists call the waning days of the Old World the "Belle Époque", or the Beautiful Era of history. They hold that, under the wise guidance of the Emperors of Europa, the entire continent was more stable than it had ever been. A period of prosperity and culture, its end marked the beginning of the greatest dark age mankind has ever seen. However, not all are convinced the Belle Époque truly existed - for if it was so great, why did it fall?"

game_concept_neow_war_to_end_all_desc: "Trenchsingers hold that the Event was little more than humanity tearing at each other's throats, as they had done for countless centuries before. Though the empires that started it have long since been forgotten, the War to End All Wars still rages on - if not through the written word, then through the blatant displays of resentment and wrath that the courts of Europe hold for one another."

game_concept_neow_sevillian_church: "The Sevillian Church
game_concept_neow_sevillian_church_desc: "The first Sevillian Pope, Honorus V Petrus Sevillius, was originally a man from Andalusia named Juan Carlos Jurado. While much of his life is shrouded in legend, it is generally believed he was born in the pre-Event, living as a humble shepherd. In his fifties he would receive a vision from the Archangel Raphael, who instructed him to warn the world of the degenerate and squalid Rome's punishment. His message would receive a great following in his native Spain, leading to his proclamation as the true Pope in Seville, only a month before the Event. He would reportedly pass on the age of two-hundred, becoming the first saint canonised by the Sevillian Papacy."
