game_concept_neow_the_event: "The Event"
game_concept_neow_the_event_desc: "Occurring sometime around the turn of the millennium, this mysterious disaster brought the Old World to an abrupt and violent end. The Event extinguished uncountable lives in its aftermath, taking most of mankind's achievements along with them. Many theories have appeared over the centuries since, attributing the destruction to great plagues, fires in the sky, and the wrath of divine power. Those that survived to tell the tale are thought to have refused to document the calamity for the sake of their own sanity."

game_concept_neow_the_author_desc: ""Eru, our great Author, weaves the tapestry of our universe and imprints into it meaning in ink. game_concept_neow_atlantis: "Atlantis"
game_concept_neow_atlantis_desc: "Some Novelists believe the Author dwells in a distant, spiritual plane called Atlantis - an idyllic garden inaccessible to mortal souls. Atlanteans believe the entire realm was transported onto Earth with his death, and in the new, post-Event reality, exists as a lost continent roughly under modern day Western Europe. The Crown of Númenor, the vast empire ruling over it, was destroyed during the Deluge, and most people forgot it ever existed."

game_concept_neow_the_novel_desc: "All Novelists believe that the Novel holds within it all the truths of the universe, written by the elusive [Concept('neow_the_author','Author')|E] before the beginning of time, and scattered across the timelines by the Valar. Novelists generally agree that the Novel is composed of the Author himself turned into ink, though how it manifests into our world and the gods' effects on it is a hotly contested topic ever since the religion's founding."

game_concept_neow_the_belle_epoque_desc: "Europeanists call the waning days of the Old World the "Belle Époque", or the Beautiful Era of history. They hold that, under the wise guidance of the Emperors of Europa, the entire continent was more stable than it had ever been. A period of prosperity and culture, its end marked the beginning of the greatest dark age mankind has ever seen.\n\nHowever, not all are convinced the Belle Époque truly existed - for if it was so great, why did it fall?"

game_concept_neow_war_to_end_all_desc: "Trenchsingers hold that the [Concept('neow_the_event','Event')|E] was little more than humanity tearing at each other's throats, as they had done for countless centuries before. Though the empires that started it have long since been forgotten, the War to End All Wars still rages on - if not through the written word, then through the blatant displays of resentment and wrath that the courts of Europe hold for one another."

game_concept_neow_sevillian_church_desc: "The first Sevillian Pope, Honorus V Petrus Sevillius, was originally a man from Andalusia named Juan Carlos Jurado. While much of his life is shrouded in legend, it is generally believed he was born in the pre-[Concept('neow_the_event','Event')|E], living as a humble shepherd. In his fifties he would receive a vision from the Archangel Raphael, who instructed him to warn the world of Rome's coming punishment. His message would find great popularity in his native Spain, leading to his proclamation as the true Pope in Seville, only a month before the Event. He would reportedly pass away at the age of two-hundred, becoming the first saint canonised by the Sevillian Papacy."
